3.5 star rating	Good points â New hotel, well laid out, excellent aircon, and bathrooms, Close to everything 200m to Kuta beach and 300m to Legian street, Rooms cleaned every day, felt safe and secure. Room was very nice (both the family - which was not ideal as it was two king sized beds and the Royal Suite one king and two singles.)	Staff smiled a lot but were not very helpful, when you had a problem â E.g we booked a family room, which turned out to be two king sized beds and when we explained that there would be persons of the opposite sex sharing and didnât feel it was appropriate, we were basically told we would need to upgrade another IRP 2,100,000 for the week. So we went from a two bedroom family room withtwo king sized beds, two baths and two safes (no dining room table) to two rooms with a dining table, 1 king sized bed, two single beds,1 safe and 1 bath and got charged extra. Asked to speak with the Manager (still waiting, or maybe I did speak with the manager but they did not introduce or identify themselves as the manager and no more help if they were). Same scenario with the food Penne Arrabiata was ordered and penne pasta with some herbs sprinkled over it was served and I was told that was how Penne Arribiata was made in Bali, (no Tomato based sauce, nothing like Arribiata. After showing the waiter a picture from the internet I was told come back tomorrow and we will try and make it this way for you?) I never wasted any more money on the restaurant food. The staff, made you feel, as if you were trying to steal from the hotel (you couldnât even take a pool towel to your room, while trying dry off without being lectured). We were charged IRP 45,000 for a glass breaking. Airport transfer quote overpriced (Hotel offered the transfer at IRP 250,000 each way) we got a large taxi from the airport for IRP150,000 and a return from the driver at the kiosk in the car park for IRP 150,000 (total IRP 300,000 as opposed to IRP500,000 the hotel wanted). Everything was about getting more money from you, thereâs enough hassle in the streets people wanting money all the time. Service was not as expected, staff went out of their way at other hotels we have experienced to make your stay pleasant and comfortable- At The Bene we felt under scrutiny all the time as if you were going to run away with their stuff. Upon Check out they offered us a room to have a shower then made us stay until they cleaned it making sure we never took anything from the room, our taxi was sitting waiting for us.(the hotel had our credit card details, why did we have to wait!) I wouldnât say donât go to this hotel but I would say there are better more accommodating hotels in Bali. Room Tip: Do not book a family room if you have mixed sex children / teenagers, and are expecting single beds.	David B	14 December 2015
4.5 star rating	Very helpful and pleasant staff. Nice ambience around the pool. Rooms clean and modern. Great location and only minutes walk to the beach.	Need more lounge chairs in the restaurant around the pool. Be aware that family rooms are located on the outside of the hotel and have no opening windows or balconies. Although spacious and lovely, they were very claustrophobic with frosted windows and no natural light or air.	Kelly	02 October 2016
