4.0 star rating	I liked the room and its atmosphere. It was small, basic but cozy. I loved the fact that there were windows in both the bathroom and the bedroom. I was impressed with the cleanliness and promptness of staff with their daily cleaning. The location is excellent--close to Central Park, Times Square, restaurants, busses, subways, etc. The front desk was cordial and helpful. Overall, I was pleased with my stay at the Wellington and would stay there again.	The room was a little dated, but that would not keep me from staying again. I was disappointed that there wasn't free wi-fi in the rooms. Most of the time I went over to Starbucks across the street to do e-mails, etc. as they have free wi-fi. The food in the restaurant was a bit overpriced compared to other eateries in the area. The food was okay, but nothing special. It isn't a deal breaker for me as there were other places to eat. 1.5 star rating	Good breakfast and nice staff in the restaurant next door.	Unprofessional and unfriendly welcome at reception, pubic hair in the bed, pillows smelled dirty, tiny bed, tiny room, too hot and couldn't control the heat, tiny bathroom, tiny closets. When we asked for a bigger room, we were told that we would be moved to a Queen-sized bed the next day, but the next day we were moved to an even smaller and even hotter room with an equally small bed. After I raised a fuss (and after being told that there were no bigger rooms available) we were moved to a bigger room with a King-sized bed but on the 2nd floor with a terrible view of a chain link fence and some metal stairs. Heating didn't work so we had to get a maintenance man to come twice during the night to fix it. I was told that we would not be charged extra for the bigger room, but at checkout the person at the counter tried to charge us $20 extra per night and argued the point with me. I will never stay at this hotel again and would never recommend it to anyone.	Chris	25 November 2012

4.0 star rating	Great location on 7th Avenue, a few minuets walk from Central Park in one direction and Times Square in the other. Close to many local restaurants and Deli's. The Greek restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent as is the dinner for a quick meal or breakfast. Room we had was a suite and contained a small kitchenette with a large fridge and microwave, which both helped to keep drinks etc cool and to heat up some take home!	The hotel is not the most modern in the area and the rooms are dated.	Anonymous	08 September 2015
