2.5 star rating	Hotel very central and room was not spacious but clean and warm	Check-in procedure was diabolical. Had to wait in a line for at least 30 mins. when very tired. Not enough reception staff on duty		08 January 2009
4.0 star rating	was really happy with the location of the hotel. its was certainly in the heart of new york and the price was more than reasonable! would definately return to this hotel if i ever visit new york again!	our first room was quite run down and not very clean! there was little light in the room and wasnt very clean. however we went down and requested a better room as we were staying for a week. there was absolutely no problem and we got moved to the 13th floor which was much better.		21 January 2009
3.0 star rating	We had room 1746, which had two double beds and was absolutely huge. The location is perfect for tourists as its close to all of the attractions in midtown and is deirectly opposite Penn station for the subway to everywhere else. There were lots of restaurants and bars close by for night time entertainment.	The room was in desperate need of redecoration, but as we were in the room just to sleep, this wasnt really an issue and we knew what we were expecting before we arrived. 4.0 star rating	Sehr zentral gelegen. Gute Anbindung an Ã¶ffentliche Verkehrsmittel da direkt an der Penn Station. Vor allem schnelle, preiswerte Verbindung von und nach JFK Flughafen mit der Long Island Railroad.	LÃ¼fter im Innenhof laufen die ganze Nacht. 1.0 star rating		El hotel estÃ¡ en un estado lamentable: moqueta sucia, cortinas sucias y rotas, puertas sin pintar, paredes agrietadas... Se ve que no han hecho ningÃºn mantenimiento en los Ãºltimos 40 o 50 aÃ±os. Y no da ningÃºn tipo de servicio: no hay cafÃ© en las habitacionres, si quieres dejar las maletas el Ãºltimo dÃa te cobran 4 dÃ³lares por bulto, etc. .	Enrique	20 August 2011
3.5 star rating	Great water pressure in the shower (surprising in NY) and good size of room.	Very dated, crumbling, musty, and need of intensive renovation. Poor quality bedding, windows would not close. Definitely deserves 2 star rating or lower, but the room size was good for the price.		23 September 2011
3.5 star rating	The location is perfect! I spent 4 perfect days. With a family of 4 the room was big enough with two closets for the baggage, i will definitely go back in the next opportunity.	There was a lot of noise during the night due to i beleive air in the pipes, it felt like somebody was pushing the furniture around in the upstairs floor. 2.0 star rating	The only positive thing is the location.	Room very dirty and horrible smell. In horrible conditions. Falling apart. The last time they cleaned those windows was probably 100 years ago. Not worth even a quarter of what I paid. A total rip off. I wanted to report to the police or environmental services. Never seen a room so dirty and in such a state in all my life. I can't understand how they can rent those horrible rooms at those price. Should have zero stars. Not even a safe or a fridge on the room. No wifi in the room. Just a horrible room dirty and smelly. Hygiene zero. Perfect if you want to catch diseases.	Tonybruno	10 October 2012
2.5 star rating	Super Lage, gleich gegenÃ¼ber Penn Station, Madison Square Garden	- Stark renovierungsbedÃ¼rftigt ( Zimmer heruntergekommen, wirkt 50 Jahre alt ) - Fenster total undicht, wenn man nicht im Sommer dort ist, auf jedenfall meiden (kÃ¤lter als im KÃ¼hlschrank im Zimmer) - Personal: Wir wurden auf Double bed ( 1,20m Bett ) auf Kingsize bed (1,80 ) upgegradet was ja positiv ist. Aber unser Zimmer wurde in der Nacht anscheinend 2x weitervermietet. Da hat um 1 Uhr in der frÃ¼h wer uns aus dem Schlaf gerissen und an der TÃ¼r gerÃ¼ttelt. Verscheucht und weitergeschlafen, 2 Stunden spÃ¤ter das gleiche. Dann bin ich zur Rezeption, wie sowas sein kann... Er meinte durch den Zimmerwechsel wurde die SchlÃ¼sselkarte falsch programmiert (wurden von 711 auf 683 umgebucht). Die Karte war jedoch auf 853 registriert!!!?? Wie kann das sein, dass uns 683 gesagt wird und auch dort sperrt. ... Wir bekamen dann neue Karten und uns wurde versichert, dass es nicht mehr passieren kann... Sicher fÃ¼hlt man sich dann trotzdem nicht mehr in diesem Hotel... Passiert ist dann aber wirklich nichts mehr ( waren 6 NÃ¤chte). Die Lage ist zwar super, aber lÃ¤nger als 2 NÃ¤chte wÃ¼rde ich das keinem empfehlen! W-LAN kostet dort 11-15 Dollar je Tag, auÃer man bucht das Zimmer direkt Ã¼ber Ihre HP.	Johannes	01 May 2013
3.0 star rating	I was looking for a cheap hotel in Manhattan, close to the Javits Centre. Very cheap hotels, very last minute don't exist so I booked this as it was the cheapest option available (besides hostels). I was expecting much worse to be honest - the room was clean (despite numerous reviews saying that it wasn't) and cleaned and restocked with towels/soaps every day. I asked for a room with a view and while I have had better views, I could see the bright lights of Macy's and downtown New York from my window. It was also close enough to get around central NY and I walked to and from the Javits Centre.	The check in queue when I arrived took about 40 mins, which after a long flight and before I had to go to work, was not ideal. There was no free wifi, which was enormously annoying. It was available for a fee, but given that the rooms were no frills and still quite expensive, I would expect free wifi as standard.	nicola	23 May 2013
3.0 star rating	There was nothing extremely positive about the hotel. The room was clean is about the only think I can say that would be positive.	The bathrooms below the lobby were filthy. The luggage storage room looked like something from the 16th century. The internet was advertised on the web site as free but costs 10.95 a day. There was suppose to be internet TV but it did not work. The room door did not lock which we did not realize until the second and last evening there. The key lit as if it was unlocking the door but it was doing nothing the door opened without it. There was an iron with no ironing board and two little bottles of shampoo were provided, no conditioner. I had bottles of shampoo by the second day. 1.0 star rating	Good location , with quick access to large stores and good bars	Staff attitude is terrible ( chating to the lady who was checking us in at reception We asked " is the room You're giving us a nice one ? " , her answer " how should I know , I've never been upstairs in this place " The room had discolured , flaking paintwork and a worn dirty looking carpet also very drafty as the window would'nt close fully , We had to ask to be moved .
