3.5 star rating	Airconditioning was in each room and worked very well for our different cooling needs. Clean hotel. Nice size apartment (2 bedder). Location is not on Orchard but still worked perfectly for us. When the Bencoolen MRT station is complete (2017) this hotel will be in a hot spot location. Actually 'perfect'. The whole are is within walking distance to everything: cabs, busses, food, shopping. The pool on rooftop has views from inside pool. It is also big enough to do laps or simply watch the views and can accommodate many people. For what it's worth, the two elevators worked efficiently and i can see good provision for emergency building exits includeing two stair wells and also a firesafe elevator.	All windows in apartment were locked and therefore no ability to open up to a breeze or just fresh air. Bathrooms did not appear to be ventilated which made the first problem a little worse . I rated lower on facilities because little things showed wear and tear. Wall mounted bed lamps that needed to be always straightened. Old Wall entertainment cabinet that showed signs of over use / damage. The same wall unit modified to accommodate the TV. The rooftop pool contains 12 internal lights for night time swimming but only 2 random lights were working. As you move around in the outdoor rooftop spa and cover some water jets the water squirts out in all kinds of external directions including over the side of the building. 13 floors high. Directly out front of this hotel is an absolutely massive construction site so the entrance is almost completely compromised to the open air. This means a cab cannot take you to the front door plus construction noise can be often too loud. This should be communicated better when booking this hotel and lower costs should apply. It was just these little things that gave an impression of not well maintained. The Apartment was serviced each day but on two days the toilet paper was not replenished, by day three I needed to request toilet paper. I thought this was unusual because everything else was so perfect. The breakfast room is far too small OR not laid out properly because it was always an area of congestion and hard to get around tables. Each morning a register is signed but it is hardly needed when i see two or up to 12 entries and yet I see many dozens of people eat there. Whats the point. One lady toasted up enough bread for 10 people and lots of accumulated food and took it back to her room via back entrance. In other words anything goes. Would I stay again, yes if the cost is right. But when construction is finished this hotel will be a gem.	Walter	06 January 2015
