4.0 star rating	We stayed at Oaks because we went to see Elton John at the Sydney Entertainment centre and wanted to stay somewhere close by. I booked via the Internet and was attracted by the close proximity, studio appartment with a gym and a lap pool in the building. I also read some of the reviews and noticed there were over 2000 reviews with a rating of 7.25. Not bad! Anyway the room was homely, large, very clean, with a balcony. 3.5 star rating	Great Location. Nice Inside the rooms. Had everything you need.	The windows are very bad insolated and noise was like sleeping on the street. If they can fix that it would be much nicer. I am not sure it was value for money.		20 November 2012

4.0 star rating	Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Hotel allowed early access which was great for dropping off our bag and getting changed. Map provided at reception. Lovely view over darling harbour.	Indoor pool very cold. Staff could have been more knowledgable about local restaurants. Windows not soundproofed, so traffic noise could be somewhat annoying. 2.0 star rating		I was disappointed when arriving at the Oaks to find I had to leave a $150 deposit as I didn't read anywhere on the website nor was it stated in my confirmation email. I was not expecting it and didn't bring extra money to cover it. The girl at reception said they would fax the bank to get a rush on returning the deposit within 24 hours from checkout but 3 days later I am still waiting. On the site it also stated check in at 1pm and check out at 11am. When arriving at the hotel check in was 2pm and check out was 10am. The pool was cold and not heated like it was stated. The rooms were out dated, there was marks on the walls, the couches and cusions were dirty. Overall definately would not stay or recommed to anyone.	janelle	03 June 2014

3.0 star rating	The location is great, right on darling harbour, the amenities are great for families with a kitchenette and utility room. The apartment was spacious but quite warm on the lower level as the air-conditioning is fitted for the bedrooms upstairs. Having two bathrooms was also handy and everything was clean. The pool was nice, a bit chilly but the kids enjoyed it.	Having stayed in the hotel before we were a little disappointed on this occasion, one of the light shades was missing, the shower leaked into the bathroom and we had to request a new toaster twice as the first burned everything and second blew when we plugged it in, I was initially told I would have to wait until 10 am the next day after trying to call reception repeatedly and getting no answer, but after pleading were bought one up. I also had to clear the plug of someone else's hair so that the water could drain in the bathroom sink. The hazard tape on the bottom step of the stairs also looked a bit shabby. I am not sure it was value to money on this occasion. We were not told that unless we removed everything from the bed including our nightwear that the bed would not be made up so it went without the first day even though we had paid for a daily service. 5.0 star rating	On arrival I was able to check in early and was upgraded to a newly renovated room. In fact, the curtains were installed after I arrived. There was a new kitchen and shiny new appliances. The extra bed brought in was very comfortable. 2.5 star rating		Wasn't overly clean. Kitchen floor sticky. Broken ironing board, taps dripped, shower leaked. Value for money was not there. Carpark was a challenge too. And I don't think for what you pay you should have to pay parking. At $500+ per night, I expected cleaner apartments. And did I mention the room had a fish smell when we got there too. Yuk!
