The Generator hostel is a fantastic place to stay for anybody wishing to explore Berlin, located in an up and coming district in former East Berlin and less then 10 minutes by tram to Alexanderplatz. Offering excellent value for money, guests will be impressed by the size of the rooms, modern decoration and warm welcome. Although the rooms without facilities do not have a shower or toilet amenities are situated on the same floor and are maintained to a high standard. The Generator bar is the ideal place to relax at the end of a long day of sightseeing or having a few drinks before a night out on the town. The hostel has a lounge area, The Turbine, disabled access and a business centre. (Guests booking a double room should note that these rooms consist of twin bedding.) Guests should note that local city tax is not included in the rate booked. This will be charged directly to guests by the hotel and payable at check in.

4.5 star rating	very close to s-bahn which made getting around very easy	the noise from other people staying in the hostel was terrible.there are signs asking for quiet after 11pm but these were ignored.people shouting outside my room untill after 4am happened every night		25 November 2008

3.5 star rating	Breakfast was fair Location good to metro	Meals were overpriced and very horrible. We only ate once for dinner and it was really bad. No noise restrictions were enforced and hostel is probably better for early 20 year olds rather than families, couples or business trips.	Hostel was ok for a short stay.	19 June 2009
4.5 star rating	Outstanding as ever, it offers real value for money. It is no frills but clean, comfortable, reliable and safe. It is also extremely handily placed on public transport links for the city centre and airports. Highly recommended I've stayed there 3 times now and it is my venue of choice for value in the city.	None. Any comments we made were dealt with instantly e.g. leaking pipe fixed within 10 minutes when mentioned. I even got a full refund when a hot drinks vendor ate my Euro coin without giving me a drink!	NellColson	28 December 2009

4.0 star rating	Zimmer und SanitÃ¤re Anlagen sehr sauber, FrÃ¼hstÃ¼ck genau wie erwartet (nichts Besonderes, aber gut) FÃ¼r junge Leute, die super gÃ¼nstig eine Unterkunft in Berlin suchen sehr zu empfehlen S-Bahn-Station ist in 2 Minuten zu FuÃ zu erreichen	Alles in allem super, aber als einziges MÃ¤dchen in ein ganzes Zimmer voller Jungs?!
