There are links to the public transport network at Powell/ Market Street, which is about a 4-minute walk away and Westfield Shopping Center is also nearby. 4.5 star rating	We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff were all helpful (I called ahead to ask about the best to get there from the airport, they gave some suggestions, stored our luggage on checkout day, calling a taxi for us etc) and the hotel was very clean. We had four of us in a room (two adults and two boys 16 and 10) and while the room was smallish, I expected that being an older building and we had no problems. We did unpack the suitcases into the provided dresser and maximized the closet which kept the room much tidier. Bathroom was fine, not a lot of space on the sink area (I was thinking my own mother would have struggled as she sprawls her stuff out) but not a problem for us. Location was seriously a block from the Powell St cable car line, the F trolley, BART etc. That made is super easy for us since we didn't rent a car. We purchased a Citipass that included all transportation and admission or tickets to the sightseeing ferry, Museum of Modern Art (walking distance from hotel), Aquarium etc. It more than paid for itself with transportation alone. Lots of shopping nearby. We felt safe with the kids, even at night. Our room was pretty quiet, though we were there at a time when the windows are closed, so that helped too. My kids loved the movie theme, breakfast was only I think $3 each for the kids and $6 for adults or so. I didn't go but the rest of the family did and there was juice, cereal, waffles, hard-boiled eggs etc. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and hot cider are always available for free which was also nice.The kids watched the movie one night and had the place to themselves, gave my husband and I some time to talk alone. We all said we would definitely stay there again and the price was excellent.	The rooms are smaller, but again, but putting things in the closet and dresser we were fine. My son figured out to open the vent in the bathroom (there is no fan) to eliminate steam. The staff are good about telling you the less safe area near the hotel but we had no problems and were in and out at night. We sent my teenager out alone one morning to run an errand a couple blocks away and he was fine. I read some people's complaints but we really had none. If you are comfortable staying in a major city, and all that that entails, this is a very affordable place to stay with some unique characteristics.	Sheebs	22 February 2013
5.0 star rating	Overall the staff was very helpful and pleasant.	My only negative comment is that the cleaning staff did not replace toiletries on a regular basis.		16 December 2013
5.0 star rating	Kleines wirklich zauberhaftes, sehr zentrales Hotel in San Francisco. 5 Min. zu FuÃ von der BART (Zug vom Flughafen) und Cable Car Station (Powell). Am Morgen erhÃ¤lt man ein Doggy Bag, da es keinen FrÃ¼hstÃ¼cksraum gibt - vÃ¶llig in Ordnung. FÃ¼r Amerikanische VerhÃ¤ltnisse waren die Fenster recht dicht, man hÃ¶rt aber immer GerÃ¤sche von Aussen. In unmittelbarer NÃ¤he gibt es gÃ¼nstig und sehr gute Indische Restaurants (nur Ã¼ber die Strasse).		Christiane	23 April 2016
