4.0 star rating	Rooms are good, clean and ventilated. The location is a big plus point as it is only 5 minutes walk from the Central station. The staff is mostly good and helpful. 4.5 star rating	Excellent value so near to the centre of KL We were very impressed when we arrived, very smart and professional reception. The room was average size and contained everything that we needed for a few days stay in KualaLumpur. It was very clean and well maintained, the maid "made up" the room each day with clean towels and sheets. The inclusive breakfast was good - fruit juice, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage,beans, scotch pancakes, toast, jam, tea and coffee. There was also a selection of Malaysian dishes. Free WiFi was available in the room. Easy to walk to KLSentral, the hub for the various train lines. Cheap and frequent trains to all the popular tourist sites within 10 mins. The only downside is the area of "Brickfields" around the hotel is a little untidy and run down. However we wandered around at night, walking to the local restaurants and never felt uneasy or threatened. The local people were friendly and helpful. In a more salubrious area the hotel would command much higher rates. We would certainly stay again. If your arrival point in the city is KL Sentral, follow these walking directions to the hotel: Take the left hand exit which is next to the KLIA ticket office. Then turn right following sign to Brickfields and Monorail. Take the down escalator on your left and at the bottom do a 'u' turn and walk along in the same direction as the traffic. Follow the pavement around to the right to a cross roads, you should now see the hotel ahead, Summer View Hotel in large letters at the top. Cross straight across this road and keep walking past YMCA. The hotel is on your left. It is less than 10 minutes walk from KL Sentral		JSGARTH	09 February 2014

1.5 star rating		We arrived into smelly, old room. It smelled of mould and dampness. You could not open the window and air con did not help. After asking we got moved to different room. Still bad, did not smell but bathroom was disaster. In the morning we had plane to catch and yet, staff could not locate our room to check it - and without it they would not give us the deposit back. Took them 15 minutes and me asking to leave. Unacceptable conditions and situations even for budget hotel.	Kate s	19 November 2015
