Thaton River View Resort blends into the natural surroundings with its Shan influenced architecture and the large sloping roof covered with wooden tiles.

Thaton River View Resort today is 97 kilometers from Chiang Rai and 175 kilometers from Chiang Mai by road. Daily river cruise on bamboo rafts and long tail boats in the northeast direction to Chiang Rai. Thaton is emerging as a gateway linking with Doi Mae Salong and Golden Triangle by a new highway. From Thaton it is easy to get acquainted with many hilltribe groups: Muser, Lisu or Akha, living in their original habitat.

The Thaton River View Resort composes of long bungalows and single houses scattered around the open space to provide privacy.

Each air-conditioned room is equipped with hot and cool showers, comfortable beds, single and double. The house offer individual views and backdrop. For those staying in the bungalow, just looking up from your bed, the mountains and rivers come into full view.

The main building serves as the reception area and the restaurant, and is regarded as the assembling point for people in the area who head for the place for seafood, supplied daily from the Eastern province of Chonburi.
