Rooms are of three types. Deluxe bungalows are fan-air and air-conditioned chalets with broad verandahs overlooking the bay. Bungalows can comfortably accommodate couples or small families. Tree houses (air-conditioned or fan) are on stilts right near the beach. Massage has a long history of therapeutic healing in Thailand Practiced for centuries, the roots of Thai massage are traced to Indian beginning about 2,500 years ago . the founder of the practice was said to be Jivaka Komarabhacca . a doctor friend and contemporary of Buddha. the art of massage must have reached China via monks, sages and travelers who journeyed to and from India across Central Asia along the silk Road , and then spread swiftly in the Each Asian continent The massage tradition probably reached Thailand through the Hindu Brahmin practitioners, who may have come hear as courtiers in the royal palaces of Khmer kings. Traditional Thai massage is a combination of Indian , Chinese and Thai methods. the theoretical basic of Thai massage lies in the theory of energy lines running throughout the body. Out of the 72,000 energy lines said to be in existence, the focus is on the 10 major lines, call "sen" Important acupressure points are found on these lines. Treatment for the whole body , different organs and diseases are often done by using the system of the 10 "sen" much of what is known in Thailand about traditional massage was handed down orally from generation. much of the ancient medical tests were destroyed in 1776, with the destruction of Ayutthaya by the Burmese. What was left was literally carved in stone in 1832 when King Rama 3,hoping to preserve the tradition, had the stone inscriptions set into the walls at Wat Po. If not for these inscriptions, the art of Thai massage would have been lost forever.
