Montra is a small independent hotel, "as you enter the hotel you have to duck through a pair of solid old wooden gates, as you clunk the gates behind you, you find yourself in a magical peaceful garden, you feel yourself relaxing and you get the feeling you are somewhere special."

Standard Suite :
all villas are large, individually designed and equipped with the latest technology. each villa suite has its own living room, large bedroom, a small terrace and all bathrooms have sunken marble baths, large walk-in showers and double sinks.

In addition to the standard suites the retreat has a four poster bed & direct pool access.

Pool
our large pool winds it way around the resort and is never more than a few steps from the entrance to each villa.

HUE restaurant & bar
serves up tasty food using fresh produce & many ingredients grown here in our vegetable garden. We never use msg or gm foods and all our dishes are adaptable to vegetarian diets. Our bar is a fun and informal place to hang out, lots of comfy sofas were you can relax and enjoy listening to some chilled out music.

in the acre of grounds you will find the Montra spa, and outdoor swimming pool, a secret garden, sundeck, a croquet lawn, vegetable garden, thai Sala, HUE restaurant & bar and lots of quiet places to sit and relax.

tours & vehicle rental
scuba, boat charters, sunset cruises, island tours and restaurants, we try them, then we vet them...only then do we recommend them to you. we also have our own car service that will take you anywhere on the island (subject to availability and a small fee). We can also arrange your holiday car & bike hire and have your vehicle delivered to the hotel.

Lamai beach
Montra is just 1 km. from lamai beach; lamai has 2 km of white sandy beach with lots of little cafes and restaurants dotted along the shore line. On the southern tip of lamai beach you will find the famous 'hin ta hin yai' natural rock formation which is also a great location for snorkelling.

because of its intimate size, Montra is perfect for a private party, reunion, birthday celebration, yoga retreat or wedding, given enough advance warning, we will be happy to block book the resort and can tailor packages to individual requirements.

Montra is located on the south-eastern side of Koh Samui at the edge of Lamai. It is approximately a thirty-minute drive from the airport. We have carefully chosen a quiet location, yet we are close enough for you to easily enjoy the vibrant night life of the nearby towns. We are only a few minutes from Lamai Beach by car or motorbike and between 10-15 minutes on foot.

Child Policies

Currently no specific policy is available. It's likely that the common policy applies: Children below 12 years of age stay free of charge in their parent's room in a cot/rollaway bed. Breakfast for the child has to be purchased extra. For other children an extra bed has to be booked (Triple Room).
