Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi is Chiang Mai’s only luxury hotel and resort where you can enjoy one of the world’s most beautiful spas and surround yourself with the rich heritage of the Lanna Kingdom.
The design of our suites, villas and residences is a visual journey through the history of the Lanna region, from the glory of northern Thailand to the influences of neighbouring Myanmar, China and Laos and the introduction of colonial architecture. We offer our guests the choice of private two-floor villas, colonial-style suites or the grandeur of our Residences. All of our spacious suites and villas have separate sitting areas and generously proportioned bathrooms and some villas feature private outdoor plunge pools. Throughout our resort, we offer an atmosphere of culture and calm, with the display of beautiful artifacts from our private collection amidst the welcome shroud of lush tropical greenery.
Yoga & Pilates
We offer a comprehensive range of Yoga and mat Pilates classes under highly qualified guidance. Guests may enjoy morning sun salutations or join classes in Hatha Yoga, Yoga for children or more advanced Yoga sessions. We offer complimentary sessions throughout the day or one to one private sessions.
Swimming Pool
We have two swimming pools. The Loy Kham infinity Pool has views stretching over the languid green paddy fields. Charmingly designed you can swim beneath the boughs of a rain tree and step out onto stone lily pads. The blue tiled Colonial Pool recreates the elegance of an era specifically the style of the 1920s Riviera. It is very large, with space for laps and a shallow pool for children. Both pools are created as relaxing spaces with the all-day bars serving light snacks, juices and cocktails.
Fitness Centre & Sauna
Our high tech fitness centre is open from 6:30am-9pm. Guests are provided with a locker and drinking water. Personal trainers are available for one to one sessions by the hour or longer term fitness regimes. We also offer complimentary use of the sauna.
Tennis
We have two astrograss flood lit tennis courts which are open from 7am to 8pm. Rackets and balls are available for hire. Our professional coach is available for lessons.
Oriental Culinary Academy
Our Oriental Culinary Academy is equipped for classes of up to 20 students. There is a daily rotation of classes (except Sunday) that include informative trips to the local market and preparation of a four course meal.
Culture Centre
Our art and craft village, Ban Sam Lang, offers highly informative exploration of the ancient Lanna culture including hands on craft demonstrations, a variety of lectures and an enlightening tour. Dedicated to the preservation of the Lanna culture each month they perform a traditional ceremony.
Shopping
If shopping is your leisure activity we have our own village, Kad Dhara, with over 20 shops including jewellers, a tailor and artisans offering high quality craft and art for sale.
Jum Sri Hall Library
Our Jun Sri Hall Library has over 5,000 books. DVDs, CDs and of course books are available on a complimentary basis to view within the library or in the privacy of your villa or suite.

Le Grand Lanna is a renowned Chiang Mai establishment for authentic Thai cuisine; our Mediterranean restaurant is such a delight and nowhere creates dim sum delicacies as we do in Fujian.
