D.R. Lanta Bay Resort is located on beautiful and children-friendly
Klong Dao Beach in the North of Ko Lanta. The village of Saladan with
many shops and restaurants as well as diving centers is close by.
The Thai owners of the resort focus on creating a family-friendly
environment for a perfect beachfront holiday for you and your loved
ones. Many guests return year after year to this haven of tropical
tranquility on one of Thailands largely undiscovered islands.
The resort provides 41 bungalows, each with a private balcony where you
can lounge in your hammock and listen to to waves lapping to the beach
which is just a short walk away. All bungalows are clean, modern and
simple, most equipped with air contitioning, hot water shower,
satellite TV and a roofed patio with lounge chairs. Guests can choose
between Deluxe
Aircon Bungalows and the more luxurious Family and Mini Suite
Bungalows. The Family and Mini Suite Bungalows all have sea or beach
views and come with extra living space, fridge and mini bar.
The restaurant is run by local chef Sanong Chankaew whose creations of
Thai, Chinese and Western specialities continue to attract holiday
makers and locals from far and wide. A perfect place for a hearty
breakfast while soaking in the warm sunlight after a good night's
sleep, and for sampling freshly caught seafood for lunch and dinner.
The resort's poolside staff serves
delicious tropical fruit shakes, cocktails and snacks.
The pool faces the sea and provides an ideal water playground for kids and adults alike.
Child Policies
Currently no specific policy is available. It's likely that the common policy applies: Children below 12 years of age stay free of charge in their parent's room in a cot/rollaway bed. Breakfast for the child has to be purchased extra. For other children an extra bed has to be booked (Triple Room).
