4.5 star ratingNice hotel, good location, great views and very good roof swimming pool, it is bigger than it looks on the picture and with views of the skyline. Good value for money. internet connection good. Very good breakfast.Room very small but it seems that space in Hong Kong is a luxury. FJT28 November 2013
2.0 star ratingThis Hotel would be better categorised as a Hostel. No Wardrobes in the Bedroom. Washbasin is in the Bedroom set back in a dimly lit alcove. Toilet and shower only with no bath tub. Flimsy plastic shower curtain and shower room flooded after use. Windows filthy so it did not matter if you had a city or Harbour view. Will not be booking with hotelopia again or with best western hotels. The hotelopia airport pickup did not materialise neither even having paid in advance.CB and family26 April 2014
3.5 star ratingGood location and convenient for new MTR station - when to be open shortly. Very helpful and friendly staff.Small room but in keeping with many HK hotels. No storage and no hangers in room. Bad smell from drain adjacent to toilet.Anonymous 08 March 2015
2.5 star ratingAs the saying goes - you get what you pay for. Thought we had a bargain when we booked this supposedly 4 star hotel but the only positive things we liked about it was the tram station nearby, the free airport station shuttle bus (stops right opposite the hotel), and how Kenny Fok, the assistant manager, helped us out with all the problems we faced at the hotel. Travelling with a little child, we asked in advance for a non-smoking room. When we arrived from our long haul flight, we were told there wasn't any available until 5 hours later and was then put in a smoking room after the receptionist claimed that the vents in each room on the floor are individually secluded and we shouldn't smell any smoke. We got to our room and it was surprisingly tiny. (I've been visiting HK for many years and I know space is a premium but this hotel takes the biscuit(!)) We had to store our suitcases underneath the bed to have some walking space. The next day we went for breakfast which was included in our stay. Unfortunately we were only issued with two sets of dated adult breakfast stubs at the reception and the restaurant captain said that our child cannot have any of the food from there unless we pay an additional fee over HK$150 per day. She made it clear we can't share ours with the child and that she can only sit and watch. We couldn't believe what we were hearing and so asked to see the manager. The hotel manager wasn't there at the time so Kenny Fok assisted us. We told him that we specifically noted there's 3 of us on the booking. After some checks with the admin, he apologised for the mistake and clarified with the "captain" that the little one's actually allowed to dine there as well for free. Just to let you know, if you're intending to opt for breakfast in the hotel, the food choices are minimal; almost the same every morning; and it isn't geared towards the continental palate. We've already included it in our hotel stay so nevermind. On the second night of our stay, with the air-conditioning still not working right, my husband and I definitely smelled cigarette smoke in our room so Kenny Fok arranged for us to transfer rooms onto a non-smoking floor. If it wasn't for Kenny Fok assisting us with the complaints we had and the fact that we had spoken up, our stay would've been a disaster. Thanks Kenny Fok!Anonymous 19 April 2015

3.5 star ratingGood location, nice rooftop pool, very cleanThe bed was the most uncomfortable bed EVER! Anonymous 19 August 2016
2.0 star ratingThe room was very small. Suitcases had to be stored under bed in order to move around room. The bathroom was appalling. The shower curtain caused water to flow accross the toilet section floor. the breakfast was the worst I have encountered. The lift service was pathetic. It took an average of 5 minutes to get a lift and on 2 occasions it took 12 minutes. Our friend's room was the same so these problems must be endemic.GREGORY13 July 2016
1.0 star ratingIt is a terrible experience to me. The hotel cancelled my booking and Hotelopia has not informed us until we arrived the hotel and found it found. If there was any problem occurred, Hotelopia should inform us in advance. According to the hotel, they have informed Hotelopia one day before my departure. Hotelopia even didn't aware the booking has been cancelled by the hotel. Terrible service I have ever seen. Without written my complaint to Hotelopia, it even sent me a rating questionnaire. I think your company should re-assess the service of the hotel and your company, whether it meet the market standard. Anonymous 21 July 2016
1.5 star ratingnear metrovery very small rooms - no cupboards - no place to put the suitcase so that we could use it to "live out of " design of rooms with baths mean that you cannot use the toilet. worst hotel of its rating we have ever stayed at - we will never use Best Western again anywhere in the world. 1.0 star ratingNIGHTMARISH. I booked two rooms through Hotelopia at the Best Western Harbour View in Hong Kong (a month before our arrival), for a duration of six nights beginning 25th August 2016 - 31st August 2016. Upon arriving to check in, my party was informed that the rooms had been cancelled - without informing us at all prior to our arrival! We were stunned; the hotel blamed Hotelopia, and when we contacted Hotelopia, the agency blamed the hotel - either way both parties refused to take responsibility for leaving our group of four stranded. Needless to say we WERE NOT informed of ANY cancellation and were left without any rooms to stay in at the hotel we had originally booked. We had to eventually book rooms in a hotel that was far away from the original location and paid more than AUD500 EXTRA for those rooms (as opposed to our original quote for the Best Western Harbour View). Almost two weeks later we are still waiting for an explanation from both the hotel AND Hotelopia regarding what happened. Needless to say we were left VERY disappointed, and I would NOT recommend booking either this hotel, or through Hotelopia - you would expect at the very least that our rooms would be guaranteed by a CONFIRMED booking!Tim03 September 2016

3.5 star ratingThis hotel is not bad for the price and roof top pool was what made this a good find. Close to the tube and easy to find when coming back. Rooms are small but I'm sure In Hong Kong you don't get much space for your money. After travelling for nearly a day and a half we were greeted with a staff member who spoke so quickly I did not catch anything. I had to ask a few times for her to slow down and explain things. I’d requested a room close the top, which was available but these were all smoking rooms (I’d also indicated we had a child with us before arrived), I was reassured that someone would de-cigarette smoke (or something along these line) the room. After still very dazed and confused and asking for an explanation, we had realised that someone would go in with spray and magic the room would not smell of smoke. After traveling across China we were aware this would do nothing. So they have special rooms for smokers all at the top. So we then had to settle for mid-level with not as great view. Come on BestWestern after the incident in London not to mention it stinks, please ban smoking in all your hotels. Back to the friendly ladies on the check in and concierge, they might be busy but everything took longer as she had to go over things more than twice. I felt we were just another number to get through. Service by your check in staff and also when calling concierge really let this hotel down as all the other staff are really good (some training in good customer service might be a good idea). Would I stay again ? Only for the pool and the great view. Richard28 July 2017
1.0 star ratingHotel cancelled my booking the day of my arrival. Wasn't happy. Was told that they tried to contact us yet we received no phone or emails to say so. They also claimed that because the name on the booking didn't match the name on the card, they couldn't accept the booking. This is after showing them my passport, them telling me it's cancelled because there was no full name on the credit card (my Amex is 3 initials and my surname) and that they didn't take 3rd party payment. So which was it? You told me you cancelled the booking at 5pm when we were in transit, you then told me you couldn't process the booking as the names didn't match (name on the booking was the same as on my passport) then told me you are all booked out... 2.5 star ratingWe were told the local calls are free within hong kong after check out we had to pay.!wrong information by staff members. Rooms were very small and in future will not stay in this hotel again. Swimming pool were close due to winter and is not good. Anonymous 06 April 2016
3.5 star ratingGreat location Rooms are dingy, slight smell of mould. Lifts are slow Anonymous 16 April 2016
5.0 star ratingLocation is perfect. It is close by the supermarket, local fruits vendors, restaurants, drug stores, local laundry service, subway and tram stations, as well as ferry terminal to Macau. The room is small, and it might have to do with price of real estate in Hong Kong. Anonymous 23 April 2016
