2.5 star ratingFortunately our room was changed. We were shown 4 other rooms and were able to change to a more suitable room. Our room was shabby and in need of decorating. The light fitting was coming off the ceiling. The window had a broken rail. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. The chairs were battered and looked like they came from a junk shop. The television had a velcro strap hanging from it, supposedly holding something in place. Altogether a very depressing room. 01 September 2008
3.5 star ratingbasic but good clean hotel in a good area close to the metro.14 September 2008
5.0 star ratingRoom was very comfortable and bright. Bathroom was large and clean. Well situated between Clichy and Rome metro stops which made it an ideal base for sight seeing in the centre of paris and montmartre. The room was on the top floor and lack of a lift meant a large number of stairs had to be climbed with suitcases. (A minor inconvenience)14 September 2008
4.5 star ratingBasic accommodation which was clean and quiet, at a very competitive price. Only a short Metro ride to the centre of Paris. I would stay there again.Room was a bit small.26 September 2008
3.5 star ratingIt is a two star hotel but we were pleasantly surprised with our room. It was clean with a good sized en-suite, large comfortable bed and french windows that opened out over the coutryard garden. It was also very quiet. Thin walls and ceilings. Noisy neighbours are a pain. Despite the website saying there were hairdryers in each room, there wasn't one in ours but you can request one from reception.05 October 2008
4.0 star ratingThis is a pleasant friendly hotel offering good value in an interesteing and accessible neighbourhood. Staff were charming and the rooms kept very well. It's good value for money and the breakfast is simple but fresh and tasty.Rooms on the higher floors are a drag with luggage as there is no lift. The room was also slightly plagued by noise from other guests as the soundproofing isn't good.06 October 2008
4.5 star ratingclean friendly staff and good value a little too hot heating on all over the place09 October 2008
3.5 star ratingQuiet and safe hotel, centrally located; metro and all major tourist attractions within easy reach even on foot. It was clean, safe and reasonably priced - perfect for those that spend the day exploring this great city and just return to the hotel for a good night's sleep. Nothing bad to say about it. 04 October 2008
4.5 star ratingExcellent location. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice.No hairdryer in the room. Breakfast room was quite small and on two mornings we had to wait some time to be seated.27 October 2008
3.5 star ratingThe first room I was in was very noisy for reasons unrelated to the hotel so the manager kindly moved me to another room which was better quality and higher cost but at no extra charge to me.Very good location as close to trains and Montmartre area.Restaurants and cafes, small supermarket are nearby and a nice park.As there is no lift be aware that you have to carry bags up several flights of stairs.11 October 2008
3.5 star ratingsmall rooms but clean and the bathrooms were good in the renovated area where we stayed. There are quite a few stairs to take if you are on the 4th floor13 October 2008
4.0 star ratingLarger rooms for Paris - basic but very clean - easy to get to from Gare de NordNot being able to get coffee/tea after 10am 29 October 2008
2.5 star ratingThe Staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were cleaned everyday. We were on our honeymoon and the room was just so plain, walls painted white, mould all around the bathroom, and in the built in closet, that just had 2 hangers, we lived out of the suitcases, bed was comfortable, but my first reaction on seeing the room was to get out, we tried other hotal nearer to us but they were fully booked. we would live the hotel at 10am and arrive back at 2 or 3 am that night, would not recommend to familys, the other rooms were much nicer than ours, don't stay in room 43.03 November 2008
3.5 star ratingGreat location, easy to find using the hotels own directions.Missed the tea/coffee facilities in the room. This is always provided in England. Missed my cuppa.02 November 2008
3.5 star ratingGood location - near metro, buses and restaurantsNo lift therefore if you had a family or disabled - no facilities. comfortable bed but very basic facilities. noisy wardrobe, creaky floorboards, no hairdryer, no full length mirror, only one bedside cabinet.flakey paintwork in toilet and bathroom and stained and threadbare carpet.22 November 2008

2.0 star ratingWarm - After a cold day sight seeing the hotel was always very warm. Dated - Paint was peeling off the walls in the toilet, curtains weren't wide enough to shut properly. Noisey - The conversations from the rooms below were very clear as was their music. Receptionist - The night receptionist was on his mobile phone through the whole check-in process. 20 December 2008
4.0 star ratingquiet and warm - good heating.no elevator, but it has only 3 floors. no fridge in the room09 December 2008
5.0 star ratingThe location and facilities were much better then expected would recommend08 March 2009
3.5 star ratingHotel was clean and the staff were friendly. They had good local knowledge.Shower in our room was working but you had to hold it with your hand as the wall fixture was broken. Was expecting a litttle more variety at breakfast than just cereal and a bowl of breads, some fruit would have been nice.27 March 2009
5.0 star ratingThe room was large and very clean. Location was great too. Close to a wonderful pastry shop. Towels were soft and soap and shampoo were provided. The water was hot and pressure in the shower was wonderful. And staff was English speaking and very competent and friendly. They have a nice Fench style private outside smoking area so you don't have to stand on the street to smoke. The wake up call was on time and they gave directions very well to places we wanted to visit. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in while at a hotel. They even had an extra pillow and blanket folded on the shelf for each of us. The only bad thing about this hotel was the thickness of the walls. Our neighbor knocked on the wall when me and my friend were just talking and laughiung later at night. We were not being loud at all. This would explain why there was a volume limit on the T.V. remote. Other than that it was a very pleasant expeience. I would not recommend this hotel to people with small children because of the noise children tend to make-especially while on vacation. 28 March 2009
3.5 star ratingClose to lots of food places, close to the metro and bus stops. Relatively quietIf you have a lot of luggage and are on a higher floor, there are only stairs so your bags can get heavy.17 May 2009
2.0 star ratingnot the best i have stopped instumpy22 May 2009
3.5 star ratingstaff and breakfast were fine, ideally located for metro and all sightsrooms had no tea making facilities, walls were very thin, had to endure 2 days of very noisy couple sounding like they were making rude films, and there bed was very squeeky, you could here every word very clearly, the next two days we had to endure a man snoring loudly, the wallpaper was peeling in bed room ,the dining room had a bucket in the middle due to a leak, however was repaired by next day, with better soundproofing and a bit of decor everything would of been fine, was very glad i never took my children otherwise there would of been big complaints, would not want to visit again due to the above because we had the time of our lives in paris, but the decor i could of lived with, but the noise you would of had to been there to believe it,i am not prudish at all, thought it was funny at first but four days of it took its toll.if going take ear plugs and every thing be fine28 May 2009
4.0 star ratingGood value for money with breakfast included. Wi-fi free is very good if you have a laptop for unlimited internet access. No kettle to boil water for own tea or coffee, that is all.07 September 2009
5.0 star ratingI was in Room 39 which was perfect. As I had requested to be by a window room facing the street due to my husband suffering from claustrophibia and I got that room. Thank you very much for giving us that room. I will be booking again for 2nd July 2010 for 2 nights and would be greatful if I was given this room again.Nothing everything was perfect10 November 2009

3.0 star ratingLocation was excellent. It was walking distance to all the main attractions. The shower was not attached to the wall. My boyfriend and I had to hold the attachment above our head. There was no hairdryer in our rooms and we would also have liked a kettle to give us the option of making our ownParee13 July 2012
4.5 star ratingGood location, with local shops a few restuarants and transport nearby. Recently rooms have been modernised with new furniture, refitted bathrooms, flatscreen TVs etc - still ongoing. Has a good luggage storage facility, nice breakfast room. Rooms are clean and well heated in winter. Staff are helpfully and speak Engish very well and there is always somebody on duty - overall not badNot a lot to complain about but some rooms can get noise from the street (not hotels fault) and breakfast is a bit pricey.Waddler 114 February 2013
