This hotel is centrally located in one of Manhattan's most unique and rapidly-evolving neighborhoods: Tribeca. Through a combination of eye-catching interiors, technological amenities, and 24-hour guest services, it offers visitors an exclusive luxury lifestyle hotel experience. The hotel is located on the border of SoHo and Tribeca, two of downtown's most affluent residential neighborhoods, where cobblestone streets and historic buildings give way to the most exclusive boutiques, restaurants, and galleries.

| 3.5 star rating | The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean. | Although the room was clean, there was a piece of garbage in the trash can when we got there. The room was dark and the mirror in the room was tinted. Very hard to put make-up on. Upon check-in, we were assigned a room and given keys. Unfortuantely, the room was already occupied and we walked in on people already in the room. Very uncomfortable and embarrassing scenario. Staff were very apologetic and quickly gave us a new (unoccupied) room. We were also given complimentary breakfast and drink vouchers because of the incident. We didn't have a chance to use the drink vouchers, because the bar was closed when we tried to use them, but we ate breakfast at the hotel. Disaster. They appeared to be shorthanded. Service was extremely slow. Eggs were not cooked as requested. Bacon was overcooked. We had to ask the server for the juice we ordered, the croissant we ordered, butter for the English muffins, to replace a used jelly that was on the table, and for Splenda for the coffee. We did not complain. The server, however, recognized that the service was unacceptable and did not bring a bill. He told us it was ok, indicating that we didn't need to pay anything. We were only there one night for a wedding. For that, the hotel served it's purpose, but it is inlikely that I will seek this hotel out again for future visits to NYC. | 16 August 2011 |
