2.5 star rating	The Views were good !!!	Railay Beach My goodness if we had of known we would have done this totally different First the good stuff the view at West Railay is awesome That's it!!! We arrived from KL in our airline clothes with 2 suitcases and 2 carry on You need to book and pay for the resort transport no one told us that or that the only way here is by boat until it was too late. We booked our transfer to the "resort" at the airport. Very few speak or understand English To get to our boat we had to wade through the water knee deep. The sea was so rough everybody got drenched some were ill and white ad sheet at the other end tide was out. We had to get out by a really rickety ladder into waste deep water, still in airline clothes fortunately some kids carried our soaked bags for 100 Bart. We upgraded to a cottage overlooking the pool and beach $300 for 4 nights a good move since we were confined to the room by torrential rain for so long and each day our tour to Phi Phi was cancelled and we didn't get to where we came to see Although we did get greeted by 2 humongous cockroaches hiding in the draw back curtains. The staff were not very happy and robotic in their greetings none could have a conversation and didn't understand our simple requests The room had an outdoor private garden shower which was nice but had no hot water working Toilet paper can't be flushed and needs to be disposed of in a bucket next to the loo Ants will invade even for wrappers which are discarded Walking around at Railay there are concrete paths which if they haven't been washed away are either covered with water or litter. And the sewerage smell can be overwhelming. We always felt dirty and can't wait to get home for a decent shower but I am scared that the stench has penetrated the pores of my skin Tail less cats roam the dining room and the chicken sateys look suspiciously like cat tails. Breakfast was the best meal and has a good selection of food They tried to impress us by providing a golf cart for our departure It was a lot more comfortable but unfortunately when we got to the tractor that was taking us out to our boat they left us next to a sewerage pond for ten minutes so that we could have our last gag before leaving this " resort paradise" Bring on the hot shower!!!
