It is set right in the centre of Lamai and allows easy access to shops, banks and restaurants. From Samui Airport to the resort it is about 15 km. The resort boasts bungalow-type comfortable guest rooms. A warm welcome and a very professional staff will guarantee guests enjoy a very relaxing and pleasing holiday. An ideal accommodation for short- and long-term stays for guests looking to explore Koh Samui.

4.5 star ratingYou can't fault the location! We chose Lamai instead of Chaweng because we wanted a bit more quiet. This hotel gives best of both worlds as beach is lovely and relaxed but you can walk down to the main road and be very close to shops, restaurants, massage etc. We chose Sisters massage on the road leading up to the hotel - they were excellent. We preferred them over the chains on the main road. The rooms are basic but clean and good with complimentary water, tea and coffee. Our room was at the back at the top but we didn't mind - good views of the mountains and town and a balcony that looked into trees (saw a bird building a nest!). Plus you spend most of your day in the excellent lounge area so you see enough of the beach! The pool was simple and clean and right next to the beach - paradise! The breakfast was good - freshly made eggs and help yourself buffet which was fresh and kept warm. The staff - particularly those at breakfast and the cleaners - were really lovely and a credit to the hotel. One thing that annoyed us were greedy guests/tourists "saving" lounge chairs (particularly ones that had shade) - sometimes all day and not even using them for most of the day. Not fair for those who are actually wanting to enjoy the beach and use the chairs. I think the hotel should have a policy of no chair saving for more than half an hour (so people can swim and come back) and should remove towels etc on abandoned lounge chairs. There are enough chairs for everyone just some with better shade. The pool is also without shade so it might be nice to provide a shade sail for part of it for those scared of getting burnt!Dawn15 March 2017
4.0 star ratingThis was the second time I stayed at the Lamai Wanta and was once again happy. It is perfectly located in the town of Lamai, within walking distance of everything you need. Plus being right on the beach and including a pool is a definitely attraction. Nothing negative to say. A great hotel for the price.Anonymous 11 June 2017
