Hintok River Camp is an exceptionally tented camp stunningly located on a historical piece of land upon the pinnacle of Hintok mountain in Kanchanaburi, Thailand where the historical river, River Kwai runs through.
Only about 2 hours away from Bangkok, we offer you a new style of relaxation while being close to the rhythm of nature with twenty-two spaciously deluxe canvas tents, featuring private bathrooms and outdoor showers with hot water, air-conditioning, private veranda and luxury furniture.
“Hintok” is named after the area where the camp is located. Local people call “Hin-tok” (meaning “falling rock”) due to this particular area provides a great view of River Kwai River upon a cliff over the great river.

Outdoorsmen have long known that sleeping in a tent brings you closer to nature than any solid-wall edifice. After all, flexible structures blur the line between indoors and outdoors: Screens and flaps offer an intimate connection to the surrounding landscape, natural light radiates through the walls, and the soothing sounds of birds and other wildlife become in-room entertainment.
Hintok River Camp is a tented safari-style camp offering a new style of relaxation while being close to the rhythm of nature.
Elegant twenty two spaciously canvas tents, each 26 SQM. absolutely ensure that the grace of Hintok River Camp is the epitome of safari-like camp indeed.
The tents feature twin and queen size beds with a 6 SQM. ensuite bathroom with open-air shower decorated with Thai-safari style. Each tent also has an air-conditioned, fan, open-air hot shower, make-up table and refrigerator.
The light from Kerosene lamps, moreover, reinforces the colour at night. Your experience in living in tents will never be more gratifying at Hintok River Camp.

Many activities will acquaint you with close contact to nature such as mountain biking, trekking, canoeing, bamboo rafting and visiting Mon tribal village and their cultural performances. These experiences will guarantee a life time of true meaning of this historic river at the River Kwai. Recreational activities include swimming in the natural pool from spring water, tour excursion services.
Child Policies
Currently no specific policy is available. It's likely that the common policy applies: Children below 12 years of age stay free of charge in their parent's room in a cot/rollaway bed. Breakfast for the child has to be purchased extra. For other children an extra bed has to be booked (Triple Room).
