4.0 star rating	What a lovely hotel. For us it was the perfect combination of a traditional French experience with the comfort of the usual English hotel touches. ROOM FACILITIES - We stayed in room 641, top floor, road view. Beautiful bathroom with the most amazing shower that I didn't want to get out of, tea and coffee facilities, mini safe, fridge, daily maid service. All greatly appreciated. Yes it's not the biggest but it was perfectly formed and plenty big enough for us especially as you're out all day anyway. We had multiple plug sockets so the previous comments made must've just been relevant to that room. BED - The bed I have to say is one of the best we have ever slept on and after all the sight seeing we couldn't wait to get back to it everyday. CLEANLINESS - This is second to none, simply couldn't fault it and I'm the type of person who looks under toilet seats and mattresses and it was spotless, everyday. LOCATION - I had read that it was close to the metro but I didn't realise quite how close, literally 60 seconds walk and it's a good line too. The actual road is nice, tree lined and not too noisy at all. There is a boulangerie/patisserie 2 doors away, a lovely deli 10 doors away aswell and a few restaurants, beauty salons and a lovely church opposite. Area feels very safe. BREAKFAST - We loved this. It is served 7-10:30 which we thought was fantastic. We loved breakfast at this hotel. There were pastries, cold meat and cheese along with corn fakes and muesli, toast and eggs that you can boil yourself for as long as needed. All the preserves you can think of and fresh tea and coffee served to your table. All is branded too, Kelloggs and Tropicana! A previous review mentions that the breakfast room is small. There are 8 tables for 2 which can be pushed together for larger groups. As breakfast is available over such a generous time frame, I can't imagine there is ever a problem, certainly not during our stay. STAFF - Couldn't be any better. All reception staff were so friendly and welcoming, they couldn't've been nicer or more helpful. English speaking but also appreciate you making an effort with French hello's and goodbye's etc. The ladies that helped out at breakfast were efficient and polite. The lady that we often met in the corridors who cleaned the room was also always friendly and did a fantastic job with the room. CONCLUSION - 5 star all round. Fell in love with Paris so we're starting to save up to return and will definitely stay at Hotel Grand Dore who truly made our break all the more special. Thank you Hotel Grand Dore!
