Update: The Amari Rincome is no more. It closed its doors in May 2011 and has since been demolished. The Rincome was one of the first hotels in Thailand, opened in the late sixties. At the time it must have been a remote resort in the rice fields. Now it sat on prime land on fashionable Nimmanhaemin Road, and it had to go. It will be missed as one of our best sellers and also as a classic hotel that was also home to a great Italian restaurant. May the information on the page be a memento for some.
The Amari Rincome Hotel Chiang Mai is located close to the historical walled city and below Mount Suthep. Chiang Mai is famous for its handicrafts and throughout the hotel are delightful antiques, carvings and paintings. Amari Rincome Hotel is on the corner of Nimmanhaemin Road, the new fashionable shopping and dining area of Chiang Mai, where you'll find many restaurants, cafes and boutiques in a leafy residential area with many impressive villas.Amari Rincome Hotel is on the way to Doi Suthep mountain, the zoo and the university while the other side of the moat with Tapae gate and the night bazaar can be reached by taxi in about 10 minutes. Amari Rincome Hotel is an old favourite of frequenst visitors to Chiang Mai owing to its classic charm, good location and superior level of service.
